Happy in black and white
Hello my friends!
Welcome back. Usually I prefer playful colors to plain black and white. But, there is always exceptions to our own rules, right?
I’ve been trying hard to get a hold of my niece, she’s a teenager, and I wanted to make a special print for her. On top of that, it made perfect sense, because she’s currently remodeling her room from when she was a kid, all in purple and emerald green.
Let’s say that the conversation about this topic was not very fluent, and I couldn’t figure out what kind of print she would really love. At some point, I decided to make the answer easier for her, so my question was only about the colors. My guess was right, I had a clear and neat answer to that: black and white. Thank you to all the color gods! She had given me a clue!!!
That’s all I needed. I decided to go for a night print, and the pics in the gallery show you the process from the initial stamps, to the masking and final result. Do you also love it?!?! I call this print “The night”, and it reminds me of a landscape from the Northern of my country, Argentina, where most of my family lives.
My niece promised to send me a picture of the print hanging in her new room. I’ll show when she does. I’m so much looking forward to it and to seeing her happy smile on her face. I already have mine 😉
